Senior Project Manager/Estimator

Responsibilities
- Project Management: Overseeing the entire construction process from pre-construction planning through project completion, including site selection, permitting, design development, contractor bidding, and project execution.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Managing project budgets, identifying potential cost overruns, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Schedule Management: Establishing and maintaining project timelines, monitoring progress, and addressing delays to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Contractor Selection and Management: Selecting and managing external contractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring their performance meets quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing quality control procedures to ensure projects comply with building codes and specifications.
- Safety Oversight: Enforcing safety protocols on construction sites to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Client Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with clients, communicating project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Leading and motivating a team of construction professionals including project managers, superintendents, and other staff.
- Financial Reporting: Analyzing project financials, preparing reports on project status, and identifying areas for cost optimization.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in the construction industry, preferably with a background in project management and estimating, business leadership/ownership. Experience in both public and private commercial estimating.
- Deep understanding of construction techniques, building codes, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and client relationships.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects within budget and schedule constraints.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient with computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Project, Office and Teams preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels in the organization, customers, and vendors.
The Senior Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for overseeing aspects of a company’s construction operations, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, quality control, safety compliance, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards, while maintaining strong client relationships and collaborating with other departments; essentially leading the construction team to achieve project goals across the entire construction lifecycle.

Salary: $135,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year, negotiable based on experience

Job Description
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not limited to assisting in the construction effort of the company to ensure projects are executed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. The assistant project manager will:
- Assist project managers with the successful full cycle of assigned projects, from initiation to completion.
- Assist with project team communication and interactions.
- Assist field personnel with deliveries of supplies, tools, or other items to the job sites.
- Assist project teams with project related research and drawing or specification reviews.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of project required reporting.
- Organize, compile, and submit supporting documentation for projects and project closeout.
- Assist the estimating team with project bid solicitations, documentation, and follow-up.
- Communicate with potential subcontractors or vendors regarding bid submissions.
- Collect and organize bid submissions the estimating dept.
- Assist with planning and set up of Company events
- Perform tasks required by the teams in support of project needs.
- Print project documents on wide format printers.
- Assist all departments in other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple duties at once while working independently
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
Entry level, willing to train the right person.
Job Type: Full-time, M-F Schedule: M-F flexibility between 7am and 7pm
